Simple topic. But I don't get the appeal of of watching others on the internet play video games. Any of you watch them?

Yes, though mostly tournaments rather than individual people.

As for appeal, think of it like a cooking show. Watching someone interesting talk is as a big a part of the attraction as the games themselves.

I'm usually watching a streamer as I'm playing a game myself.
I also try not to watch people play games I may want to play myself.
So usually I watch people play games I've already played, just to see how they do and their reactions.

I also follow speedrunners abd I'm not a good speedrunner so that's always interesting.

Yes, I love the live function on youtube. Especially if they have the robotic voice every time i comment.

Mostly rocket league streamers, but sometimes Shroud or Dr. Disrespect.

I do sometimes. My problem is that when I watch someone stream I tend to just want to play the game instead.

Rarely. Only specific people from time to time, but not the "popular" people.

I used to regularly watch streamers speedrun games I was interested in.
I haven't done that in months though and I'm not really sure why.

only if they're really interesting people and have really good taste in games. quill18 mostly.

it's actually somewhat handy since they'll introduce you to games that you might not have heard of or would otherwise not know to try, but seeing them play it, you can get a sense of how interesting and deep the game is and whether you should get it.

I can't remember but I think it must have been Gastroid that showed me quill18.
