Breakfast is usually savory, carb-heavy, and generally easier to prepare, so it works for any meal. Conversely, the thought of cooking a dinner first thing in the morning is not appealing.

Because breakfast is usually something light and high in calories. Try eating a burger for breakfast and not falling asleep in the middle of the day.
