I recall in an interview, this was well after they were famous btw, him saying something along the lines of he still doesn't know a single guitar chord or how to play guitar, that he just wings it in the studio and when he plays and does whatever he thinks sounds good. Which I call total bullshit on that, watch him play shit live, was he a great guitarist? No, but he clearly had some idea of what he was doing, and was able to consistently play what he supposedly just pulled out of his ass without knowing what it was. Plus he was able to do covers of other songs yet supposedly he didn't know a single chord? Not even the basic fundamentals of the guitar? Yeah, I just don't buy it. So with him, who the fuck knows how serious he's being when he says things like that because he tried so fucking hard to give off this illusion that he didn't care about anything, that he never tried, that he just did whatever. Trying to have this punk persona, yet he apparently cared a lot. Lol if you think Cobain is worse than Vedder Nirvana's most iconic song is literally about a deodorant, and the entire chorus is random shit. Compare that to Jeremy, Alive or Black. Cobain just got much more important after he died, like a lot of artists, including Tupac.
