LIFX has these bulbs that also help illuminate vision for security cameras, which seems pretty cool. Still trying to decide if I want to do network controlled lights in my new place or not.

Lifx, imo, is the best of the smart bulbs but with a caveat of high costs.
They dont need a bridge, they work fluently with apple and android and can be controlled through Google easily along with IFTTT, Alexa and Nest. I have the color changing LEDs on my front porch and above the garage. I haven't used the infrared bulbs yet. I want to use them throughout my home but its ridiculously expensive. I got mine on sale for $30 during black friday. --- https://imgur.com/Rqk1DYV - Super Bowl XXI/XXV/XLII/XLVI Champions - NY Giants Eli Manning SB tracker: 2/2 Superbowls 2/2 SBMVP's ... Yeah, if I choose to do all of the bulbs in my new apartment, it'll cost about $900 - $1500 depending on what kind I get.
If I do it, I'll probably just do one room at a time instead of trying to purchase all of them at once. --- ... Copied to Clipboard!

Or I could possibly just do smart light switches instead of trying to replace all the bulbs...

Wemo works well as far as smart switches go.
I use them as time clocks for my front lights and during xmas time for decorations and lights. I wouldn't do the lifx unless you want the infrared or the LED colors. For regular warm white light just get some cheap LED bulbs and get smart switches. --- https://imgur.com/Rqk1DYV - Super Bowl XXI/XXV/XLII/XLVI Champions - NY Giants Eli Manning SB tracker: 2/2 Superbowls 2/2 SBMVP's ...
