Black people were the second largest perpetrators of mass shootings based on ethnic background, but only accounted for roughly 16 percent of the total incidents during the same time period. Even though the idiot writer at Mother Jones tried to use these statistics to push the narrative about white male shooters, the numbers show that white people commit mass shootings at slightly lower rates than their percentage of the population (54% vs. 68%), while black people commit them at slightly higher rates (16% vs 13%). So, on a per-individual basis, black people are more likely to commit mass shootings than whites.
