Uncharted 4
Persona 5
Horizon Zero Dawn
Bloodborne
God of War (that's a reboot and not a remaster, right?)
Until Dawn

(Persona 5 counts since it's the superior of two versions released simultaneously on Sony consoles, but... yeah...)

...and I can't think of any other exclusives. What a disappointment of a console. Not even remotely close to HALF the PS3 games that were worth owning. And the PS2 had even more...

Exclusives just aren't as prominent in the AAA space anymore, with mostly smaller titles holding it down. There are plenty of great non-AAA games for the system. If we're talking only AAA exclusives, then every current gen console is a dissapointment from a numbers standpoint since the death of the mid tier game. The metric has changed.

Does this mean Days Gone might end up a PS5 game?), with it being kind of a last hurrah of PS5 exclusive titles. Do note KR that all 4 of those games have the potential to be on your list!

PS3 isn't any more impressive if you don't count games that are available on PC (also limiting it to the first 4.5 years of its life cycle).

There may have been fewer exclusives, but they're all quality games. Except I haven't played Until Dawn so I dunno about that, and Uncharted 4 felt like more of the same but it was still good. The rest are all high ranking.

The Yakuza games (0, Kiwami, 6 and soon Kiwami 2) would all like a word with you.

SHINE is on the money, btw, this has been one of the best gens ever for gaming. If all you care about is exclusives then I'd get used to gens like this since more and more companies are embracing PC, but there's been a glut of fantastic games. Last year in particular has a strong case as one of the best years in gaming history.

People have a weird fascination with exclusives. That matters when you're trying to make a decision on which console to buy, but once you've made that jump, the entirety of the library of that console becomes *why* that console is great. There's no sense in boiling the PS4 down to its strict exclusives when judging its quality as a platform because virtually every new video game that isn't from Nintendo or Microsoft's studios are available on it. The only time you would boil it down that way is if you're comparing the PS4 to the Xbox, or the PC, since there would be a lot of crossover. But generally speaking? If you have a PS4, if you buy most of your video games there, it doesn't matter that some of those came out elsewhere when you judge its legacy.

Yeah, this gen has been fantastic for games and the future looks bright too.

Also, any chance this is just the base unit of the PS4 entering the end of its life? I just assumed with the PS4 Pro and Xbox One X that Sony and Microsoft, at least, would just keep releasing 'upgraded' versions that would eventually be required to play certain games, rather than straight up new iterations.

Days Gone is suppose to be Q1. And based on the Game Informer preview, it's getting close to completion. Based on previews of the game (like the one from Eurogamer), the reason it's not at E3 is simple. Sony doesn't have much faith in it.

But anyway, here are my release date predictions:
Spider-Man - September 2018 (Confirmed)
Days Gone - March 2019
The Last of Us Part II - June 2019
Ghost of Tsushima - September 2019
Death Stranding - March 2020 (PS5 Launch Title)

I really don't see how you can say that without hard numbers. It's not like there's a strict budget limit on AAA either. Nintendo might make games for cheaper than Sony, but that doesn't mean they're not AAA. To make a comparison to film, just because Fox's blockbusters cost half of what Warner Bros.'s do, it doesn't mean that Fox don't make blockbusters, they're just better at budgeting.

Yes. Mario+Rabbids, which is entirely a Ubisoft game. Golf Story is great. Octopath Traveler is coming up, though that is Nintendo-published outside of Japan.
