Probably for the best (for now) because they have record of bed-shitting with Main Roster acts in the last few years bar Rusev, KO and Sami.

Like, ugh Corbin, I know... But that week when KO and Sami were attacking people and the dude just kept getting up and coming back to fight them throughout the whole show, the crowd was white hot for him. The crowd ate it up, and in that moment, you had the crowd loving Baron Corbin. How do you not capitalize on that? You could atleast have gotten a good few months out of him suddenly being the badass, unwilling face who just won't stop fighting and won't stay down. And yet... Nothing. They either failed to recognize it or just didn't care.

I'll play Devil's Advocate a rare time and see things from WWE's perspective.

1. Not everyone can be world champion, so stop it. stop it stop it stop it

What gets lost in this constant discussion is the idea that a guy needs to be "THE GUY!" in order to be successful. No, no, and no. Take Rusev. He was doing jobs to Orton in five seconds at Summerslam. After the Superstar Shakeup, he's main eventing with Bryan and AJ. He doesn't have to do that EVERY WEEK. He's in a better spot (he took Cass's probable spot in MITB), and while I would like...oh god 50 people or so to be champion, I would rather they be "featured" in better spots than sitting on the bench. Lana and Aiden pulled off the Lana Day thing last week to keep the act over, so Rusev didn't need to do squat. But it bleeds into the next points.

2. They have an embarrassment of riches.

At no other point in WWE history can I say, "this roster is loaded beyond belief." Outside of the absolute bottom tier guys, name any person in any feud who couldn't carry upper midcard/main event level feuds and matches. Sure, guys like Corbin, Jinder, and Cass are still lounging around as "experiments," but we're getting Daniel Bryan v. Samoa Joe tomorrow night. AJ Styles will be WWE Champion for 7 months straight heading into MITB. The wrestlers themselves are not the problem, because WWE has shitloads of those.

3. WWE works people in cycles/turns

You can see how WWE operates with people. Unless you do something absolutely dumb, you'll be given "something." A win, a feud, an "opportunity" (still hate that term though) at some point. But when you have 100-200 people wandering around, focusing on the same crop or having them win every single time should and will get old. But what can they do? You can't have Roman lose to "everybody." But they gave Strowman the chance, and he ran with it. Same with Balor two years ago.

No one is unbeatable...except Lesnar for some stupid reason. I'm not advocating 50/50 booking, but when you have so many people to deal with, I can imagine it'd be hard as hell to balance them all out to not only make fans happy, but to make the wrestlers themselves happy.

As for Miz, I should probably clarify. I don't necessarily mean squandered as in buried him or anything. I moreso mean... He hasn't really been doing anything until MitB. Now it's a bit better, yeah, but before this he's been basically going out there every week and cutting the same promo for months because he hasn't really been doing anything but be in a holding pattern.

Granted, he was gold a few times with Rollins/Balor, so I can't really complain too much.

And I should also clarify. I do not at all mean push everybody to a title when they're hot or anything. But atleast give them a feud of significance or... Something. Don't just put them back to trading wins with Apollo Crews or whatever they were doing previously.

The only things that really bother me from a big picture direction standpoint right now are both World Title scenes.

In an ideal world the tag titles would be unified, but thats my only other big change.

And then on a singular match level theres egregious stuff like Carmella beating Charlotte clean

What else can you do in a 6-week PPV build against multiple opponents except having him start beating them individually each week?

The only other option would be to use Braun elsewhere outside MitB, but where? I suppose if you were a sane person you could book him to beat Roman for the next shot at Brock, but keep Roman strong is the WWE booking handicap

I think a tool that's very underused in WWE programming is mini feuds that don't intend to culminate in a PPV match. There is no reason you need to hype a match like Money in the Bank for 6 weeks. You have all the build you need in like 2 segments.

1. Money in the Bank is a big deal
2. These guys are in Money in the Bank

You can draw step 2 out with stuff like qualifying matches, but you have all the intrigue you need in the stip and prize you don't need to harp on it every week. Give Braun something else to do that culminates in a Raw match a few weeks later

I don't know, I feel like the appeal is going to wear off at some point. Even if they had done more with him to this point it would hold true. There's only so many times you can see the same thing before it starts to lose its luster, and he's too limited to not have to keep doing the same thing.

The radio show I listen to had one of the hosts on suspension for an altercation he had with his girlfriend (she even admitted she was at fault and he did nothing wrong), but because of Illinois law he was arrested because the police have to arrest somebody when they're called. All charges were dropped and he returned to the show, but there were still idiots demanding to know who their advertisers were so they could arrange boycotts for any company that advertises on a show with a "woman beater."
