So the Punk/Amann trial went through Colt's testimony and started Punk's testimony. They're pretty airtight. They tried to get the trial thrown out because Amann's counsel failed to show defamation but Judge denied.

Punk says listening to that podcast for the first time before the trial was hard because he was trying so hard to forget it. But he confirms he wasn't always talking about Amann when it came to being treated.

Most important is that Punk confirmed CM stands for Chick Magnet. Finally we have confirmation.

This case is basically totally done for Amann.

So I guess Punk was crying at the trial after saying that he made a lot of bad judgment in 2014. He also describes how miserable and in pain he was. I honest to god don't blame the dude for wanting to leave when he did. It actually seems like from this and the comment about him saying how hard it was to listen to the podcast again shows he's legitimately got major issues from that time.

But man. Reading on, they have a ton of evidence of Punk telling people about this cyst he had. But this part particular made me respect Punk, even if the dude did a lot of things I don't respect:

Punk felt relief after the podcast. I could move on with my life.
Punk never listened to the podcast because he lived it.
Counsel: Do you feel bad about anything you said in this podcast? Punk: No.

Rumor mill is stating that WWE might finally be doing the right thing, and Lesnar/Rollins could headline Summerslam. Even though I'm a huge Braun fan, they missed the chance to have him go over Lesnar when he was still really hot, right now Rollins is the guy.

Edit: I don't think they could keep the belt on Brock until next Mania so Roman gets another shot... But it wouldn't be surprising if that was the plan.

That's a good point, I forgot about the law of Roman. Seth would likely have to lose and kill the momentum of his hot streak, or he'd win and then drop the belt to Roman shortly after. It'd be nice if Roman would get jealous and turn heel on Seth for doing what he couldn't, but we all know that will never happen.

Rollins can get pushed really hard to build up that he has a chance against Lesnar, only to be squashed even harder than Cena was in 2014. Rollins can lose so badly he cuts a promo saying he doesn't think he can be part of this business anymore when he can't get it done, then Reigns can go out there and promise to show him how it's done. Reigns defeats Lesnar, Rollins thanks him for showing him the light and letting him have a target to aim for - surpassing Roman, because even though he knows he never will the thought of it is enough to make him happy. Good guy Reigns saves the day, hooray!

Also regarding the trial

Punk mentioned on the podcast that he saw a doctor in Florida (?) who popped the Lump on his back and squeezed it, and Punk described how painful it was. Why would he not be testifying? I haven't heard anything about him from the prosecution or the defence.

Surely if Punk was unable to produce said doctor that would prove he was lying? Weird that that apparently hasn't been mentioned.

The fact that he mentions Punk by name is enough to get him reprimanded. You are supposed to keep patient's identities secret. Even if Jericho asked (which makes no sense), Amann has no reason to tell him. In hospitals, only chief executives and other medical staff should be privy to that information. Maybe athletes and entertainment organizations have different standards, since people are going to hound them for info all the time...but Amann should have declined the interview outright to begin with.

Saying, "It's not as bad as he made it out to be," that allows people to make an inference to his condition. That is still a breach of privacy.

Whether Amann violated HIPAA or not depends what he said in relation to what Punk said. Simply saying "He's not as bad as he said he is" doesn't necessarily violate HIPAA, since it's in response to something Punk already made public and doesn't give any further specific details. If he actually went into any details that Punk didn't already bring up, then you get into violation territory.
