The problem is that the game is rigged and it's not really free, it's an oligarchy. My family is fairly well off and I don't like welfare bums (so if anything I should be on this side), but it's frustrating that nobody points out the parasites at the top, who are at least as problematic. Limited or no regulation only works for so long before everything is put into storage by the 1%. Power and money are great at siphoning away more power and money from others. A free market becomes less competitive over time as things are consolidated and lobbyists fight to change rules in favour of the elite. Right now, it's as big of a sham as a North Korean election. No great nation has such a large disparity in virtually all categories of daily life between those at the top and those at the bottom. The upper portion of the middle-class is moving on up, but the rest of it is sinking into the lower.
