I can see it both ways.

On the one hand, there are people who you couldn't tell went through a transition and wouldn't know unless they told you so. So I could see why they'd consider it wrong to exclude them from your dating pool, as you might very well find them attractive if you didn't know otherwise.

On the other hand, most trans-people are not going to fall into that bucket because current technology is nowhere good enough, so I can see why non-trans people wouldn't want to date someone who clearly attempted a transition. Then there's also the fact that trans-women can't have kids the biological way since they started out as men, which is a dealbreaker for some people who want biological children.

Do you think not wanting to date a trans-person makes you a bad person? Why or why not?

agreed, not to mention the severe mental illness that seems to be part of the package deal

I was thinking that maybe rejecting someone who can't have children is a stupid justification, since men date/marry women who can't have children all the time. But I imagine that for those people it wasn't really a big priority, which is why they ended up pulling the trigger anyway.

But then again, even if having children is actually a priority...what about adoption? Wouldn't that in some sense make up for being unable to have biological children?

In the case of a trans-man, I believe the penis isn't functional. So that might be a case where the genitalia is not what women or gay men want.

I don't think it's wrong.

There's a difference between sleeping and dating someone. When it comes to building/creating a future and family with someone, being trans directly influences that, i.e. having kids. That matters to some, but not all though.

Or take for instance, I know someone who liked to "dip his quill in red ink" (yes that nasty act). A trans woman wouldn't be to provide that to him.

It's a matter of authenticity. No matter what medical procedures a person may have undergone, they won't ever be exactly the same as someone born as that sex. Many people insist on only buying authentic Rolex's, fashion labels, works of art, etc. and no one ever takes an issue with that. And who you are in relationship with is much, much more important than those things. So I don't get why you don't get people wanting authenticity in their significant others.

I'm for the rights oftrans people. Especially since talking with some cool people here on CE like say. But no I couldn't date someone that wasn't born female. It just doesn't work for me. I can appreciate the looks of some, but actually dating and stuff just couldn't do it.

As for the first part a lot of people are attractive until you find out more about them. Losing attraction as you gain more information isn't a bad thing.

Nothing wrong with whatever perspective you have with dating them but letting it outright dictate your perspective on them as a person is trash tier human being.
