The music in this game is so intense. The DS was doing it an enormous disservice. Thank god for this version.

Is the voice acting alright? I've only played the DS version and it's one of my top games

It's solid. Strangely all the worst voice acting is up front? Like, the first few lines from some characters are questionable and then it settles in just fine.

Junpei's is wierd at first just because in your head he sounds like generic teen male protagonist VA like Papenbrook or Lowenthall, and they cast his VA for his personality in Zero Time Dilemma rather than here so it doesn't mean as well with his attitude here. Can't say it's bad, though.

I will say for SURE that the ability to just sit back with auto advance for the extended VN sections and be able to just watch and listen rather than click and read is improving the experience dramatically.

Also if you're super lazy you can toggle to VA mode during the gameplay sections and basically skip playing at all, not that I ever would.

I played these games for the first time just a couple months ago. Missed out on the DS version and never had a PSP so having everything simply on the PS4 was great. Awesome games, so many little things that I missed in each game. I liked ZTD while playing it but looking back I wasn't a fan of some of there decisions but eh. My girlfriend has expressed interest in playing the series so maybe we'll start that soon and I can see if I can catch anything else that I missed.

I made my girlfriend play through it a few months back just to see how much she pieced together before getting the true ending. Was enjoyable to watch!
