So so far we have Woolie actually saying "That's fucking cool" at "Mission Successful" prompt when Connor falls off with Daniel, but it came at the expense of Pat having a "Glass Him" moment because David Cage insists on one or two word prompts that don't explain entirely what you're doing.

i've seen a bit of the game and from what i've discerned is that connor's sections are easily the most interesting and well-thought out in the game, while markus' are typically ruined by the worst and most hamfisted writing in the game

it's really sad how this is cage's like 5th project and he still struggles to write secondary characters that aren't outlandish or cartoonish

Game is keeping me hooked so far though, back of the bus and immediately abusive dad aside.

The protestor scene would have been less hackneyed if the almost-40% unemployment statistic came before it.

The $8000 price tag was absurd, but I guess still kind of believable. I wonder how they decided on that number though, like if slavery prices have ever been similar.

I don't know why I just accepted the 40% unemployment thing earlier. That shit is bonkers and would destabilize society long before the robot uprising. It invites so many more questions about the world the game takes place in and I doubt any of them will be addressed, but oh my god I want to see Quantic Dream try instead of leaving it as a throwaway number like it probably was intended to be.

this is largely the problem and why markus' sections fall to pieces

instead of interesting and unique examples of segregation/resistance action that take advantage of the futuristic setting, we instead get literal reenactments of past events and cliches that quite frankly are just laughable. throw in markus' plot device magic virus hand that just takes away what could have been an interesting element in coercing and converting other androids to the cause and you have a thoroughly poor campaign that falls flat on its face
