Always was just a fun piece of nostalgia for me but I never watched the full series till now, so it feels like I just finished the last chapter of a really long book. >~>

I guess when you leave something from your childhood unfinished, theres a sense of mystery to it. It sort of lives forever. Then when you finished it the mystery is solved and it loses some of the magic it used to have.

Overall its a 9/10 series. Great blend of adventure, fantasy, and sci-fi. World building was well done, series finished and it felt like there was still so much of the universe to explore, which I guess is the best thing an adventure series can do. Finale was a bit anti-climactic but satisfying.

Gosh I miss this late 90s anime aesthetic. Everything is so clean and sterile now. Ah well. This was fun.

Outlaw Star is one of the few anime that I've ever given a perfect 10/10. I also re-watched the whole thing recently (since Funimation licensed it and remastered it) after not seeing it since I was a kid and it was even more amazing than I remembered.

We just started watching it, I remember seeing episodes here and there on Toonami but never the full season. So much dorkier than I remember it being >_>.

The dorkiness is part of the charm. >~>

But really, theres such a fun, laid back atmosphere to this series.
