But the lifespan of a water heater is 8-10 years at best on average. If you got 20 years and over, consider yourself lucky. Typically corrosion will get to it by now. The only way it's gonna explode is if there was some kinda kinda gas leak and the pilot/burner was exposed to said gas leak... Alternatively, your water heater could blow up if "water pressure" accumulated over time... but most water heaters after the 1970's/1980's were required to have a "shut off" device/safety valve... --- If I was a mod, I will do anything in my power to ban you. <cite>Darkrobotisback posted [p:902172254] in My water h...
