And thank god for that.
I remember getting pokemon red 20 years ago and immedietly being disappointed. I thiught this was going to blow every game out of the water after the hype instead its a terrible generic rpg with no story and some of the slowest repetitive combat. Amazing this followed up stuff like DQ IV and FF Vi and got more popular. --- The military is like Socom 2, you waste time and deal with a bunch of dumb people for a few good memories that you will talk about for the rest of your life ... Your first mistake was going into Pokemon for the story. Teambuilding and battling are where the actual meat of the game is.

Sheesh, it isn't. This is just a spin off game, the actual main entry next year will keep Pokemon fix the damage - if any - caused by it.
adjl posted... Your first mistake was going into Pokemon for the story. Teambuilding and battling are where the actual meat of the game is. I did play for the lore for quite some time tho. It always felt epic knowing the legends surrounding legendary pokemons and other top tier trainings and tehn finally having the chance to face then with badass music on the background. ... I was angry until it was made clear that these games coming up are spinoffs and not core series games. Pokemon spinoffs have been around since Gen 1.
