Personally, I enjoyed the 1-50 experience in FFXIV a lot more than the 1-70 in GW2. I'd never start a brand new character in XIV to do it again though (not that theres any reason to with the job system), but in GW2 I've got multiple 70s. GW2 is definitely the easier game to jump into and get caught up to your friends / hit the "real" game. Especially if you don't care about the story in XIV. My problem with GW2 is that if you take a break you end up missing huge chunks of the updates because of how the living story works (worked?). Maybe they've changed it, but last time I was playing regularly they still locked the story arcs you missed behind the gem store. It often felt like I'd log in and there wasn't really anything new to do because of that. But you shouldn't knock down the Revan reveal and story, which was damn near revolutionary in the video gaming platform for its time. Some great quotes from KOTOR: "Savior, conqueror, hero, villain. You are all things Revan and yet you are nothing. In the end you belong to neither light nor the darkness. You will forever stand alone". "I...I can't help but wonder, Revan. What would've happened had our positions been reversed? What if fate had decreed I would be captured by the Jedi?" KOTOR had depth, whereas KOTOR2 matched KOTOR in terms story and characters, it is undeniable KOTOR2 went face first onto a pavement after the 3/4 margin, which makes all the good story and character, moot. The story, characters, and overall gameplay improvements are better than KOTOR, but there's too many blatant flaws in the form of glitches and bugs that unfortunantly bump it below the original. I hear this complaint all the time, but I've never understood for the life of me how a few bugs completely overshadows the far better writing and gameplay that completely trumps the original's. I don't even run into bugs or glitches. Even if I did, it'd be worth it for characters like Kreia. Really? I thought Kriea was awful.
