I mean the NFL players feel like something is an injustice, so they do a dramatic legal protest before doing their job, then do their job.

Davies felt like something is an injustice so she refused to do her job point blank and broke the law in an illegal protest.

Yet conservatives are outraged at the former and celebrated the later.... It makes no sense.

When is Colin Kapernakawakabakanerick going to get a roaring crowd as he struts around to eye of the tiger? Oh wait that never happened.

Who is Kim Davis and what did she do?

She was a county clerk who refused to issue marriage licenses to homosexuals 3 years ago when gay marriage became federally legal because she hates them.

As a result of her not doing her job gay people couldn't get married and she was arrested for breaking the law.

In jail she became a living martyr for conservatives, Christianity and homophobia. She was then released from Jail after only 6 days with all charges dropped because.... Well no reason really just because Christians were whining and they have all the power and authority in America.

This is her being released from Jail:

There's no hypocrisy in viewing a protest about gay marriage and a protest about police brutality differently, if you feel that that the merits of them are unequal.

Yes there is.

Sure you can FEEL differently about the sides but "Well that protest is valid but this one isn't so stop it." is a double standard and hypocrisy.

And that's before you even touch on one protest being illegal and the other being legal.

I think this is a dumb protest:

She was only charged with contempt of court. You only get a few days in jail for that.

She shouldnt being that job if she is morally opposed to it. From what I understand its elected position, so I dont know how that works

The Kim Davies thing not personally effecting them is probably a factor for a lot of people. People don't care about things that don't effect them. I'm sure there's a lot of people who are just flat out against gay marriage though and didn't care for that reason.

I disagree that what they're kneeling about is actually a thing.

That's on top of the fact that Kaepernick did it solely to get attention because he was benched and knew he was going to be a cap casualty.

EDIT: Also, Kim Davies can get fucked. You were elected to do a job, so fucking do it.

He started protesting in the 1st preseason game of 2017. He started by sitting, then later consulted with a former Green Beret who was also in the NFL (Nate Boyer) who advised that he kneel instead of sitting.

Kaepernick was benched in 2016 for Blaine Gabbert...started kneeling in 2017 when speculation popped up that he may be getting cut. The guy was trying to save his job by making himself a martyr for civil rights, plain and simple. The old message about police brutality has long been dead and buried. The kneeling now is being done to spite the sitting president.

4 yards in 3 quarters in his last NFL regular season start. Benched for Blaine Gabbert.

Let that sink in, and tell me why that guy deserves to be on a roster.

Generally, people on the right have a deep respect and love towards the police, the troops, and authority in general to the point of being stupidly blind to their abuses and faults.

They also have fallen for the propaganda that protesting the corruption and abuse of authority figures means you hate said authority figures in general. This propaganda is used by Republicans to stifle criticism towards any authority period.

Then there's Kim Davis, who protested gay marriage. The people above either hate and despise gay people or just don't give a shit at all since gay people not getting married ain't their problem.

He was benched like 3/4 of the way into the season. There was speculation that he might be cut that same year. He didn't start protesting until 2017. So the idea that "he didn't start protesting until he was benched" doesn't really hold up because he was benched and then didn't protest at all for the remainder of the 2016 season.

With the exception of the troops, this applies wholeheartedly to liberals.

Liberals love cops so much that they use their mere existence as reason to say you don't need a firearm for self-defense. That isn't an exaggeration - that was the argument Washington, DC used to support their gun ban that Heller struck down as unconstitutional. 'If an attacker is upon you, call the police.' This can only come from a zealous love of government authority, regardless of the numerous faults of law enforcement.

Add in the fact that liberals support jailing people for thoughtcrime, and the fact that every criticism of Obama and his policies has been handwaved as racism and still is to this day, and I gotta wonder if you have any amount of self-awareness whatsoever.

I have the same view on both. You arent entitled to protest in your job Service members see things civilians dont all the time and would strongly protest things, but arent allowed to protest in uniform or say certain things. These people are way more deserving and educated to speak or protest on certain subjects, so they can stop crying, both of them. Not like either was good at their job.
