The main difference I've noticed when comparing liberals who love to play the victim card and conservatives who love to play the victim card is that conservatives will do it even when they are in a position of power.

Well it's how they get into power, and because their plans are destruction instead of legislation they don't really have anything they can do aside from existing in a perpetual state of victimhood.

tobbacco is legal but they want healthcare
hard liqour, sugar as well, but fee healthcare will solve that, we can just pay for all the people with diabetes and whatever liver or drug problems they have
then they want to open up the borders to invaders whom will never have car insurance or pay taxes because of their status
their kids will end up causing a net drain on the system just like the kids of all the other failed marriages
but again they want free shit and they want you to pay for it
before I had the option of healthcare at 500, now once I get a job that pays well i will have to spend 800 a month!
democrats see no problem with this, those that can afford healthcare will pay out the ass for the other failures at life
they also want people at miccyD's to make as much money as people in EMT's, starting out as welders mechanices
they see no problem with hyper inflation, the cheap housing they offer is not cheap and usually only available to single mothers
democrats cause more problems then they're worth

I won't even get into republicans, they just spearhead the war machine dem's pretend to be against
they're all the same, they're all rich and don't really care about any of you, if they were to elevate you to their level they wouldn't be rich anymore which is why they won't do it and they love to see poor people suffer and middle class people buckle under the weight of supporting them

The south has changed. Older folks for sure are mostly diehard Republicans but younger people have evolved beyond that

I feel this is intentionally disingenuous. Complaining about obvious bias in mainstream media doesn't equate to claiming that they're being oppressed

*Shrug* New Democrats have been overly reliant on identity politics for years, and frankly identity politics resonate more with historically marginalized groups. I live in a very white, very conservative area, and Bernie Sanders is absolutely adored around here. Sanders was more concerned with policies affecting the working class than identity politics, which gave him appeal to a wider audience.

Unfortunately, the New Dems have for years been trying to curtail people who try to run campaigns like that, well before Sanders ever ran his campaign. That, coupled with the possibility that white people may feel like there's less at stake for them if they go third party, has led to Dems narrowing their appeal significantly.

Regardless whether it's a legitimate complaint or not, whites perceive democrats as demonizing them. If democrats would like to gain more of their votes, maybe instead of lecturing them about their white privilege, maybe try to understand their concerns and find some common ground?
