I have a 3 year old boy. I HOPE he doesn't turn out like that. I discipline him when I need to, so shouldn't have a problem. Time out, when he doesn't behave. If he still acts up, it's time for a spanking. I would almost guarantee that this kid doesn't have an active father in his life.

If my son did something like this, not only would he be getting that push from the man, but he'd be getting disciplined at home too.

He really wanted the bystanders or police to lynch or incarcerate this poor man, it's wrong, cruel and low.

OF COURSE his mother is a piece of shit too and tried to incriminate the man by editing out the video.

My question is, how did the right people get the full video? The man was lucky that somebody posted the full thing.

Imagine you see a video of your kid keying cars, shoving a grown up and throwing jabs, hooks and cross punches at the same man while acting like a wannabe gangsta. When the man finally loses it he just pushes the kid away to establish a safe distance and your kid takes a dive and screams like a horny manatee, only to spring back up, stop pretending to be hurt and call a woman a w**** and telling her to go fuck herself.

What do you do?

1) Scold your kid
2) Tell your kid "this is good. We can edit out the video and get the man in trouble. He will probably get killed or go to jail, we will exploit the system to play the victim and enable your bullying"

My mother never really disciplined me or my siblings for misbehaving. But still, even if I got emotional as a child, I wouldn't dare even consider hitting her, let alone swearing at her, because I knew that that was wrong. Now, her lack of discipline may have turned my older brother into a manipulative, violent thug who beat her and me throughout my life, but if anything, that just goes to show that this kid in the video is a bonafide sociopath who is well on the path to becoming a criminal.

The felt it was a self-defense case, however, they did advise the park manager not to push a kid like that again for danger of the kid getting hurt. I'm unclear on the details of exactly how, but at some point while the police where still there the mother and the boy came back to the park, they all talked, both the man and the kid apologized to each other, and everyone went on their way.

A few hours later, the mother posted a 10-second clip to facebook of ONLY the man pushing her boy down, AND posted the man's name and address. He has a wife and 3 boys ages 18, 15, and 5. Very respected, good, community-minded family. Older boys are very respectful, successful in school and sports, and have good heads on their shoulders. The oldest is going to University of Alabama next year on an academic scholarship, the 15 year old goes to an all-boys Catholic high school and ranks high in his class. Their lives, home, and business has been threatened multiple times. The police advised them to post the full video, for their protection, to try to make sure the whole story is out there.
