Not sure why but my dog has always hated small kids, even as a puppy. Generally up to the age of 7. Avoiding them would be nice except that my neighbor has like 7 kids and several of them very small. Their damn mom doesnt even watch them and lets them run around all day. When i come home i need to let her walk around to go to the bathroom. Anyway almost every damn time onw of these kids runs up to her. She doesnt bite but she cowers in fear and growls. Im afraid she might at some point.

Tell them if the dog bites then the poison from her teeth can kill them.
Don't do it in a threatening way, just use the "for your own safety" sorta thing etc.

-Kick the kids if they approach
-Put warning sighs up and/or call child services
-Use a spray bottle on the kids

Small kids can get very excited around animals, and your dog may feel threatened by the vibe they give off. I always teach my kids not to approach dogs without asking permission/if the dog is friendly from the dog's owner. Every time we're out on a walk and someone has a dog, I use that moment to drill that point home.

As long as your dog is on a leash, or fenced on your property, I'd say the onus of responsibility is on the parents.

Tuck your chin in all the way to your chest and look up at the kids while you try to scowl, look menacing, and smile. Don't stop. Eye contact with the children is key. If they still approach you or your dog, sing "All Around the Mulberry Bush" softly with your teeth clenched, still smiling.

If that doesn't work, I don't know what to tell you.

Yeah I don't look friendly so kids don't approach my dogs when I walk them. Look like a scary person

This is going to be false in most states. There is going to be strict liability in most state for dog bites even if it's on a leash.

Fenced in you'd be fine because then the kid is trespassing.

Its a condo complex. Shared community property. No one has their own yard or anything. My dog is always on a leash outside. Kid just runs straight up to the dog despite my warnings and their mom never watches them. Just lets them run around outside until its night time
