Idk, I think it's arguable that he got more wrecked this time because this time his opponent toyed with him. At least with Mickey Punk survived for a minute or two against a competent onslaught. This time his opponent sucked, he still got wrecked, and he drew it out for 15 min

It lasted a while, but only because his opponent toyed with him to draw it out. Made Punk look even more sluggish than he already was, and made Jackson look unprofessional.

i don't. he tried something new after a bad situation. just because he wasn't particularly good doesn't invalidate the effort.

his opponent was trolling the shit out of him last night, though. he could have ended it a lot sooner. should have.

I do feel sad that he felt the need to alienate his friends because of the shit their employer put him through, though. that's pretty shitty.

I think if he really tried, he could maybe hang at the lower levels, but jumping right into UFC and the top level of MMA was never going to work. He was doomed from the start.

I don't feel bad for him, and I say this as a massive Punk fan. He honestly doesn't seem like a dude who seriously gives a single shit what people think of him and only wants to do what makes him happy, and I can't fault anyone for that. He's a standoffish prick and will openly admit that, but at least he's true to himself and seems happy

it was worse than the first fight imo. this fight laid bare how much of a newb he is with MMA, it was embarrassing

but at least he managed a takedown, leg kick and...a few decent punches. his opponent didn't even look tired

yeah i also agree with this. for a guy who's just about done 4 years in MMA, he's purely in the UFC for his star/celebrity power rather than being the top of the league
