They have the largest populations and had the largest economies until about 500 years ago when Asia entered their equivalent of Europe's daark ages...so its normal for them to become the biggest again now.

its basically what will happen to America if republicans emviromental policies dont change now...they will eventually change their mind when we get as poluted as China

Europe unnaturally leapfrogged ahead due to agricultural advances that allowed for industrialization. During the 20th century farming techniques and fertilization were globalized, thus allowing the natural state to reassert itself.

Under normal conditions, nations with massive population superiority would by their very nature be economic powerhouses.

The only reason India took so long post-colonial era and isn't quite as strong as it could be is mainly because it's been a bit more politically fractious than China's overall government.

America is far too full of NIMBYs and hippies for this to happen in any meaningful timeframe.
