The Pitt's the only one that has any enduring quality, IMO.

Point Lookout was fun to explore the first couple of times, but the main quest is garbo and the bullet sponge hillbillies wear thin fast. 'The Velvet Curtain' is one of Beth's all-time best quests, but prior knowledge allows you to quite easily skip 2/3rds of it on repeat playthroughs.

Broken Steel's greatest positive was the Tesla Cannon. Beyond that it was a thoroughly shallow addition of more enemies to shoot. It did let you play past the end of the main quest, which I guess was nice, but imo that wasn't the reason the ending was such a fucking travesty. But I guess it did prove that even Bethesda was ashamed of the ending to the point where they didn't take much convincing to retconn it.

Operation Anchorage would be the worst if not for the Gauss Rifle. S'bout it.

Mothership Zeta was just a disappointment through-and-through, the epitome of a 'nobody asked for this' DLC imo. Wouldn't have been such a letdown if it hadn't been the capstone to FO3's DLC.

I liked them all for different reasons.
OA- fighting the commies and seeing what Alaska was like pre war (sort of) was cool
TP- The dark story line and tone
BS- playing past the ending
PL- The addition to the open world, I love seeing other places in the fallout universe.
MZ- Making friends from thru out history, as well as getting a feel for Earth being a bombed out sad radiated rock floating in space.

heres the estimated location and radius of the deathray impact in Mothership Zeta.

Looks like they would have felt the fuck out of that in The Pitt and the Capital Wasteland would have been shook as well.

Mothership Zeta by far. Somehow they made Aliens and being in space boring.

I remember being so goddamn bored with Zeta that I used cheats to get through it ASAP. Never happened before in a Bethesda game, and it hasn't happened since.

I liked Mothership Zeta, especially the weapons you get from it, but it could have been executed much better. Old World Blues in New Vegas is pretty much Mothership Zeta done right.

Making friends from thru out history

This is actually the thing that disappointed me most about the DLC, because there was quite a bit of missed potential there. The kid (forget her name) is the only character who's remotely entertaining. The woman is a typical Bethesda 'I don't want to get to know you and you don't want to get to know me' badass-type who thusly won't burden the writers with having to give her any depth. The cowboy's okay, but too much of a downer in what should otherwise be a campy romp: 'Oh, you're wife and child were...horribly mutilated and killed on this ship, that's...um, okay, lets go grab that goofy death ray and blow shit up, buddy!' The samurai was the biggest missed potential of all of them: yes, it's accurate that he speaks Japanese and no one can understand him. But on a ship filled with wacky advanced tech, it would have been so simple for the writers to contrive a side quest where you either find or jury-rig a translator for him, and give him more investment in the team. But as he is, he's just...there. He's nothing more than a walking suit of cool armor, which of course greatly diminishes the moral quandary of just killing him and looting it.

EDIT oh, and I forgot all about the Anchorage Soldier. He was decent as a character I suppose, but the fact that I honestly completely forgot about him in a game I spent this much time on is fairly telling.

Zeta by far. Anchorage is pretty bad too, but it's absolutely worth it for the veritable vault of loot at the end. I was not a big fan of The Pitt either, really. The only DLC I think I actually really liked was Point Lookout.

Broken Steel's alright.
Point Lookout's pretty awesome. Love going and getting belittled and yelled at by mean grandpa Desmond.
The rest, meh. Anchorage meh, Pitt meh, Zeta NO GOD NO
