after seeing E3 and all the cool switch stuff i'm really tempted to go buy one. which game should I pick up with it and any must have accessories?

If you want one, get one.

BotW, Mario Odyssey, MK 8 DX, Xenoblade 2 alone should be enough to make the purchase worthwhile if you're interested in any of those games. Tropical Freeze is also amazing if you never played it, and I haven't played Mario/Rabbids but apparently that's pretty good too.

The only accessory that's a must is a screen protector.

Sure, if I didn't have one I might wait for the next limited edition version, though. If you don't care about that stuff then buy away.
