Eh, even Persona 4 didn't have a lot of tough bosses. It's pretty smooth sailing after the first couple of dungeons.

Persona 3 had some hard fights, but I wouldn't say very many of them are more memorable than the most memorable fights from 4 or 5.

(with one big exception of course)

Persona 5 had more memorable fights in the sense that I can remember them, but I don't care about them either. Stuff like the random Tartarus bosses may not be story relevant but they made for fun gameplay experiences.

Yeah, but I'll honestly take memorable over difficult. I could only tell you one of the P3 Full Moon bosses off the top of my head, and that's largely because it's connected to one of the best and most memorable story moments in the game.

Hot Anagram predix: the Mysterious Figure is the detective boy. I base this on several factors:
1. Him being the justice confidant, so irony.
2. Him also being a teenager, and the game has a theme with teenagers being the only competent people.
3. He's both a student and works with the cops, so he'd have no time to also be a Metaverse assassin, so he's definitely a Metaverse assassin.
4. It makes Sae look dumber for having worked with him.

Dang Anagram, I'm playing a lot and you're still catching up to me. Since I don't know who the mystery figure is yet either, I'm going to throw my guess in the ring....I'm thinking maybe Haru's fiancee?

also, I just recently did one of Mishima's confidants, I think it was rank 10, and experienced one of the most eerie moments in the game: *minor dialogue spoiler*When Mishima is talking about how he's changed for the better and is much more positive, he asks the main character, "Am I only this way because you changed my heart?" Talk about some deep free will, morality-of-the-phantom-thieves shit there.

Ah, it didn't occur to me until just now, but there's a new way you can help with confidants a little right now. If you go to Shibuya - Central Street, there's a shop at the back near the movie theater. Rocinante or something. It should now be selling some kind of Phantom Thief Card Gift. Once you buy it, you can go to the mailbox in Yongen-Jaya and you'll have the option to send it to a confidant. It'll give you a note for them without advancing time. That shop only sells one, but they restock once a week. It's a little thing, but maybe it could help you some if it can push someone from not ranking up on a meeting to a rank up meeting.

Some other shops are selling some other Phantom Thief stuff too, but that's the biggest deal IMO. Though there's an item that heals 50 HP + Any Ailment which isn't that bad either.

Yeah, Yoshida's the only one who found it out based on little evidence. Someone asks you the name of someone messing with you and they change soon afterwards, like the Phantom Thieves victims? You'd have to be pretty dense to not put two and two together and figure it out.

I missed boss talk, but I have to say still that I think P5's bosses are almost all better than P3's or P4's. I play on Hard for a first run generally and the bosses didn't get easy until Palace 6 on. I think all of the ones before that managed to kill me at least once. That's a significantly better lifespan than P3 or P4. I was playing the remakes of those, admittedly, but I'm not sure I can remember any bosses in those games that were very likely to kill me, except a few of the early Tartarus bosses.

Well Makoto eventually also wanted to persuade Eiko that she didn't want to steal her boyfriend, and having the best possible boyfriend already might've been a good way to do that.

Vanilla P4's bosses were all significantly harder than Persona 5's, to the point where they had to be toned down in Golden. Shadow Yukiko caused problems for a lot of people.
