They outbid awhile ago but the issue is theyre bidding on straight cash while Disney has offered some stock options that look better to Foxs people.

They had for a while now. Comcast has been offering money, which is taxable and a set price. Disney is offering stock, which can rise and is not taxable.

Comcast is desperate. They want to be back at number one again ever since Google and Disney overtook them as the largest media conglomerates in the world.
Fox is number 4, so it will throw both Disney and Comcast over Google. They also don't want the MCU to be complete. By Comcast buying it, they have control over something Disney technically owns and it's a great bargain chip to get Disney to play nice alongside them. The offer was rejected previously but the AT&T/Time Warner go ahead got them riled up again. They're also offering $2.5 billion for the breakup fee AND to pay the $1.5 billion fee Fox would have to pay Disney if they break it off. --- It all just disappears, doesn't it?
