Harvard consistently rated Asian-American applicants lower than others on traits like positive personality, likability, courage, kindness and being widely respected, according to an analysis of more than 160,000 student records filed Friday by a group representing Asian-American students in a lawsuit against the university.

Asian-Americans scored higher than applicants of any other racial or ethnic group on admissions measures like test scores, grades and extracurricular activities, according to the analysis commissioned by a group that opposes all race-based admissions criteria. But the students personal ratings significantly dragged down their chances of being admitted, the analysis found.

The court documents, filed in federal court in Boston, also showed that Harvard conducted an internal investigation into its admissions policies in 2013 and found a bias against Asian-American applicants. But Harvard never made the findings public or acted on them.

Holy shit. This is groundbreaking, especially the part where it was revealed that Harvard conducted an internal interview and found out that they were discriminating against Asians, and then proceeded to cover it up and continue its racist policies.

Harvard University as an institution has proven itself to have absolutely zero integrity. I am ashamed that a university like this is considered "prestigious" to begin with.

I'm not really surprised. Even in the broke neighborhoods the asians with similar cultures keep to themselves a lot. It's more in the 1st and 2nd generations though.

This isnt surprising, The Asian applicant pool is enormous compared to the other races, so the admissions committee is going to be more selective regarding them, even though they still will hold a sizable percentage of the incoming class race statistics. If the admissions committee doesnt discriminate, the incoming class will be mostly Asian by a large margin.

So, they're either racist against asians or they automatically score them lower on personal ratings to make up for their higher academic ratings. Keep their Racist Admission Systems, but take ZERO Government money.

Or Open up a Truly Fair, Equal Opportunity System to all who can apply and meet the minimum UNIVERSAL Academic Standard if they want Government Money.

And I've had a few Mexican friends who made it to Ivy Leagues on raw Academic Talent alone.

So it's not racial bias, it's how hard you work.

Something every child in school needs reinforcement on.

I knew about the Asian bias for a while. Go to a state school instead, they are much cheaper and usually closer to home anyway if you are in a college town or at least in the same state. It is all about connections and internships in college and any place can offer those.

Look at how Harold just tries to avoid trouble and says just do what he says. It' a comedy, but it shows something that really deep in Asian culture.
