He was considered lucky as he didn't die, but he did literally lost both arms. In a stroke of luck, Charity, and good favor he has extremely realistic and advanced robotic prosthetics. However due to his not particularly great fine motor skills, when borrowing a friend's car ( his is in the shop, hit a deer) he couldn't manage to get his handicap placard on so he didn't as he didn't have time. These types of upstanding moral citizens who've had their own lives, and dare I say their very souls squandered by the hands of fate. Just as you had your own misgivings of the actions of this man, this moral man, without even working out a logical conclusion, you also never stopped to consider his own feelings, did you? Surely this good man, this moral man, acting out of desperation did not want this outcome ever to be. Have you thought about his own misgivings of this unwanted, yet necessary infraction of the law? I would hazard to guess from that moment on, that man's conscious pays a heavy toll, and perhaps as does his very soul share this toll. A toll filled with anger and sorrow. He may never be the same man again TC, and you talk of this as casual discussion.
