1. Kiki's Delivery Service
2. Castle in the Sky 3. My Neighbor Totoro 4. Howl's Moving Castle Hot takes over here. Short explanations Kiki-Simple relatable story with nice imagery Castle - Exciting, with an excellent cast of characters. Damsel in Distress a bit overused. Totoro - Cute but meandered too much for my liking. Howl - Pretty but tried to be too clever. Relied too much in its blatant "war is bad" motif without delving into the war itself,and as a result did not explain properly just about anything, and didn't bother focusing on Howl's character until the end. Separately neither issue would be too bad, but together, it leaves me with no background plot to care for and focused too much yet too little on Howl. Are those the only four you've seen? I'd agree with that but put Howls in 3. You still have the best three of his to see though so your in for a good ride.
Spirited away Princess mononoke The wind rises Plus I love whisper of the heart and nausicaa.
