Does play throughs but actually know the game and guide you through it instead of the top result lets players who play the games for the first time and go in circles.

I know mkiceandfire does some great ones but some of their games are also a bit like the first time blind play throughs.

Anyone know others?

Only two that come to mind are ChristopherOdd (I've only seen his Xcom 2 videos but he does a good job rationalizing and explaining his logic), and Geekism (I've only seen his Planet Coaster videos but the stuff he creates is so amazing).

I can recommend epicnamebro for dark souls games. He is very good and teaches you everything about the game and explains as he plays through each section.

Unfortunately dark souls is about all he does.

Mike Matei on Cinemassacre does legit play throughs but theyre just old school titles iirc. He does actually practice for them though and can beat very hard games in one go. Not sure about commentary but for most of the games he plays just seeing somebody do it correctly (while not using speedrunning tactics) is a plus. There are other channels that feature more modern games like this too. Frankly most people prefer watching a personality fuck up. Blame the masses. Matei, for example, just does that shit as a side project for a huge channel and because he likes it.

lightningboltforever's style is very similar but he's also covered some doom mods, dark forces, duke nukem 3d, quake, and some other things
