I'm shooting for a sedan around 200HP, ~27ish combined MPG, simplistic and nice interior, and solid reliability

Nissan juke.

Also lmao why you gonna throw random hp numbers put there? Hp and performance ain't even really directly connected anymore. And torque is more relevant if it's for work or recreation purposes anyways.

Nah but a used regular juke is in the price range.

Also a type r is two versions and even the sub 600hp one is like a quarter mill.

The only 2.0T Civic I know of is the Type R, and that's $33k+ territory. If you mean the 1.5T, that makes more sense. Even the 10th gen Civic Si is a shitload of car for the money.

woops yeah i meant 1.5T. i think the 2.0 is naturally aspirated.

also i can't drive stick (nor do i want to) so manual is out of consideration lol

We got a 2015 Passat in 2016 for 13k, I love it. Had a little more miles on it for its year because it was a fleet vehicle prior but holy cow, I commute a TON every week and I get away with filling it up once a week (and that's not even necessarily hitting the 1/4 mark).

You're missing out on a lot of current cars that way. The GTI is probably the only sports car in the sub-$30k range that has an automatic that's not a piece of shit.

I mean if fuel economy and savings is yer thing I paid 500 for an 05 Sunfire with under 100k km 7 years ago and it takes 20 bucks a week in gas in Canada where fuel is expensive and I drive over 20k to work and back each day.

Why spend more than you have to if functionality is your only goal? Also I respect the goal of functionality.

Also it came with 2 sets of of brand new tires on rims and besides doing oil changes and front brakes I've spent exactly zero on it.

fuel economy isn't TOO important to me, but i think it should at least be reasonable. you really only spend a few extra bucks at the pump a month for less fuel efficient cars.

and if being eco-friendly is your goal, just hold out for a fully electric car.

'15 and up WRX are fairly stealthy-looking stock. But the regular Impreza is nowhere near ricer territory.
