what's new with yall For starters, I'm trying to study financial mathematics in preparation for some actuarial examination I will be taking more than one year from now. I'm not actually going to take the examinations as soon as I am finished studying; I'm just self-studying to see if this is the sort of thing I am prepared to do after graduation. I'm panicking a little bit, because it's kind of difficult to teach myself stuff, and without a guided curriculum, I can get exhausted and lose my motivation quickly. A few years ago, I self-studied physics and gave up, frustrated and exhausted, a quarter of the way through the textbook after eight weeks of study. This thing I'm doing at the mo' is sort of like that. I mean, if I can't put up with a few weeks of tire and frustration, then I don't know how I can aim for my career of choice. It could be that my current study habits are crap and I need to pace myself more effectively, but it could be I am not cut out for this life of relentless studying. But I'm hoping that with the study manual I bought for one-hundred and fifty of my American dollars will help me with a more structured course of action with respect to how to study better and more effectively. If not, then I will most definitely need to consider other careers I can use with my math degree. I'm panicking about what to do after graduation, if I choose not to enter the actuarial field of study. Oh, and I did just come to a realization that I haven't done anything I've actually enjoyed this summer so far. All I've done is play video games, and I just realized that I haven't been enjoying it. I mean, if all I'm doing is trying to clear a backlog of ten games, then it feels more like a chore rather than something I do for fun. Kingdom Hearts 3D is underwhelming so far, and it just feels like preparation for a game I probably won't buy, anyway, rather than a hobby. In short, I haven't had any real fun since the summer started, I am panicking about my career path, and would want a back-up in case things don't work out quite right. I mean, I do like studying... I just feel like I wanted to use this vacation to relax, rather than stress myself out over studying that I told myself I'd be going light on because I'm feeling a bit burnt out from school. I don't even know what to do with the rest of my break, anymore. This is how little of a life I have. The other day, I came across this person who likes Fire Emblem more than me, and got upset that I'm not a bigger fan of the series than this person. Then I started to re-evaluate my life because no self-respecting bloke would even get upset over trivial stuff such as this, and it really shows how empty and unfulfilling my life is. I mean, all I do nowadays is watch my television set and use the computer, with the occasional unfulfilling video game (read: chore). Anyway, this is what is new with me, TC. --- Number XII: Larxene. In short, I haven't had any real fun since the summer started feel ya on that point, the little time I have had not in school and studying and stuff has been ruined by my mono, i have a gf now and i feel so bad because it's summer and we can't do anything nice because i feel like shit all the time. got a gym membership and can't go to the gym anymore cause im too sick i would recommend for u to not play video games for a week or longer and just ask urself at the end if u really miss them. went thru that. can't say for u how u can replace it with a new hobby to pass the time but i recommend bodybuilding because u look good and u feel good. --- ...
