So we draft Bamba and then proceed to trade away none of our crowded front court. And we don't address any of our needs in the second either. Outstanding

Like I am racking my brain over how that draft could havve actually gone worse for us. In my worst scenarios I figured we would at least address positional needs with the seconds

I think Bamba will be good. I just hate our roster composition with his pick and have zero faith in management making worthwhile trades to better the situation as they have done nothing well since they took over. Like how could we not shift any of the excess tonight for additional picks?

I also fear they now do something stupid like let Aaron Gordon walk away for nothing

I would have preferred a big with the final second round, but I am totally down with taking Doncic and Brunson. I'm not sure what the Magic's cap space is, but perhaps an expiring contract swap in Wesley Matthews for Vucevic could be a potential deal.

I think Luka will be better right now, but Bagley to me has that Chris Webber intagible to me and I think him and Fox, Heild, and Bogdonavitch is going to be really good together. And we are talking about getting a strong 3 in free agency (he has a hard to remember and pronounce name) so we should grow really well this season

Glad the Celtics grabbed Williams at friggin 27. Everyone had him as a lottery pick. He was "best available" for like a dozen picks. but maybe there's something I don't know about his health. Then again, once the Clippers were done, everyone wanted a guard until the Celtics.

Bagley is gonna be good. Hopefully he gets a lot of growing pain minutes next year though. ^_^

I hope you're right. I look at Bagley and just hope he's like young Amare. that's his best possible comp I think. I look at his skill set and his shooting percentages and Luka and just, urgh. Luka better not be great because a lot of Kings fans had already adopted him as their own and it's gonna be tough.

I don't think we have the assets to get him anyway though. There isn't anything on our roster you would take that sort of hit for

it's weird. I'm okay with the concept of mo bamba in a vacuum but adding him to Orlando immediately cements him as a bust in my mind. like it's not even anything against the Orlando franchise - I just think he needs to be a piece added to the puzzle, not the most important cog. I can't understand what Orlando is trying to do with drafting all these long defensive guys over and over. I'm guessing they expected to get Young and got scooped but that might be giving them the benefit of the doubt.

Not a huge fan of some of that take. First why does casey getting fired have any bearing on the job he actually did? I thought most people would say he didn't deserve to get fired and actually did a great job? Second, why does simmons earning a paycheck = actually playing in the league for the purposes of determining a rookie status?
