This might be different if the person is actually a dealer, though. If it's someone trying to get you hooked so they can sell to you, yeah, fair enough. But often it's just someone you know who happens to consume those drugs, offering to share in the same way they would with weed or booze, and not really thinking about the difference between the hard drugs and those softer ones.
