Pterodactylus (/trdktls/ TERR--DAK-til-s, from the Greek: , pterodaktulos, meaning "winged finger") is an extinct flying reptile genus of pterosaurs, whose members are popularly known as pterodactyls ( /trdktlz/). It is currently thought to contain only a single species, Pterodactylus antiquus, the first pterosaur species to be named and identified as a flying reptile. The fossil remains of this species have been found primarily in the Solnhofen limestone of Bavaria, Germany, dated to the late Jurassic Period (early Tithonian), about 150.8148.5 million years ago,[2] though more fragmentary remains have been tentatively identified from elsewhere in Europe and in Africa.

Tyrannosaurus[nb 1] is a genus of coelurosaurian theropod dinosaur. The species Tyrannosaurus rex (rex meaning "king" in Latin), often colloquialy called simply T-Rex, is one of the most well-represented of the large theropods. Tyrannosaurus lived throughout what is now western North America, on what was then an island continent known as Laramidia. Tyrannosaurus had a much wider range than other tyrannosaurids. Fossils are found in a variety of rock formations dating to the Maastrichtian age of the upper Cretaceous Period, 68 to 66 million years ago.[2] It was the last known member of the tyrannosaurids,[3] and among the last non-avian dinosaurs to exist before the CretaceousPaleogene extinction event.

Not only did they never even live on the same continent as each other, they existed 80 million years apart from each other.

Also, the T-Rex never existed during the Jurassic Period. Which is weird cuz, y'know.

"Jurassic Park" was just easier to say than "Cretaceous Park". Rolled off the tongue better.

But they did talk and make friends with other species, right?

I don't want my childhood cartoons being inaccurate. <_<
