Someone did a pretty comprehensive breakdown of all the nitpicks you could make of the OT. I still think TLJ is a clusterf***, but you can rip into the OT if you try hard enough. They aren't perfect movies by any means.

But you don't have to try with TLJ, the issues are so bad they are just sitting out there on the surface. Like 2/3rds of the movie is based on the idea that A commanding officer would just think people would sit by and watch their armada be blown up ship after ship. Without even telling them that there was something planned to save people. Remember she didn't say we have plan we just can not tell anyone. People assumed that there was no plan at all. If it was not for that , the issues on the ship would not have happen, Rose would not have had to lead a mission to try to find a code breaker, they would not have had the fight on the salt world. Hell it is more like 4/5s of the movie would not have happen without that.

Seems to me that if she didn't have purple hair people wouldn't be talking about her at all.

It seemed perfectly reasonable to maintain control of information when the movie heavily implied that there was a spy on board.

When was it implied that is spy was board. MOREOVER ... this makes her look worse since Rose found out how they were being tracked in literally 2 mins.

It's the logical conclusion. They know the FO is tracking them, they don't know how. Hyperspace tracking is new tech that was thought impossible.
They obviously need to spell that out because the average Star Wars fan is a child, but it shouldn't be difficult for the 20+ yr olds.

Once more this was never hinted at all. And even if it was, that is still a fucking dumb thing to do . Half the Ship thinks that they have no plan at all. If it was a spy she would have said the plan was on a need to know bases. These are too different things. And if this was just because of a spy Poe would not have been a person they would have kept out of the loop. If he was a spy he is doing a horrible job. Since HE was the reason the good guys got the map to Luke, He was the reason Star Killer Base was blown up, if more. This Spy Theory is just bullshit people added to defend this crap. And moreover.. Rose a random Tech found out how they were being tracked in two mins. Tell me what does that say about Holdo's skills ?

ALSO if there was spy on board he or she would have just told the FO were they were when they landed.

Honestly it seems like Poe's character was all backwards in the two movies so far. In the first movie, he's respected and a bad ass and is well trusted and sent on super important missions, and in the second movie he's like a hot headed rookie or something and is looked down on. It's like they got it in reverse.
