Roseanne and Married with Children were both shows I hated as a kid, and thankfully my parents didn't watch them. Married with Children I find mildly funny now. Like good bits here and there. But I didn't watch it as a kid so it doesn't have any nostalgia for me. Then, in the series finale, Roseanne reveals that the entire series was a book being written by her and that she changed many of the details (Jackie is gay instead of Beverly, Darlene is with Mark and Becky is with David, they never won the lottery). She also reveals that the heart attack killed Dan and that she wrote his affair as a way to deal with how she felt 'abandoned'. Then Season 10 rolled around and rebooted the show, and they created a new timeline where they never won the lottery and Dan never died (though they play it off as a joke) but Darlene was still with David (they are separated now) and Becky was with Mark (he's dead) and Beverly was still gay. From that era, only Frasier is even remotely tolerable today I feel like my dad instilled a love of Frasier in my brother and I.
