Ok. So.

That was odd. Like, really cool stuff going on. Really cool idea. But. I have no idea what was going on. It jumped around. Some stuff felt out of order. And a lot of it just didn't make sense. Kind of like Fate in general. Cool idea, not so great execution.

I'm still triggered by how bad the adaption of Alice and Nursery was. Literally all I wanted from an Extra adaption.

Ok, they just tried to make Emperor Nero a sympathetic figure. No. Just no.

By god, I didn't think the day would come but I made it. Normally I watch the seasonal anime I'm watching as my first priority. Then second priority is one shorter, completed series (<25 episodes) next. And then third priority, one really long, completed series that I watch when I'm not watching any of the above. So seasonal, +2 completed, at a time. Well I just finished my first third priority long series, the original Dragonball. Started in November of 2017, and just finished the 153rd and final episode today.

I still have to pick out my next shorter series after finishing Last Period, but I want to leave my next longer series as a vote for you guys to decide. The choices are:

Hajime no Ippo
Kirby: Right Back at Ya!
Kaleido Star
Monster
Smile Precure!

Moving on, I'll throw a vote in for Kaleido Star. It looks airy enough that you should be able to decompress from DB. Just don't dive into Kirby cuz I don't recall it being that good.

Edit: and Hiei that's no reflection on your recommendation. I only have vague memories of what was most likely a 4kids dub.

It would probably take me awhile to figure out a favorite fight. All of the red ribbon army bastards were pretty great. The Terminator was fun. Jackie Chun in the first tournament. The samurai guy in muscle tower. Mercenary Tau. Both Piccolos. "Hero".

Mai is best Dragon ball girl. Eighter is a teddy bear. Launch should have returned in later series. Do not fuck with Popo.

Puare's voice makes my soul cry in pain.

Ok. That's it for Fate Last Encore. Gotta say, I think that is the worst Fate entry I've put myself through. A lot of it didn't make much sense, I don't think it did a good job explaining things. The whole thing was just over complicated as hell. Protag was boring as hell like usual, the side characters barely had anything, like usual. The one thing that Fate usually does well, fight scenes, were also really weak this time around.

High point was the Nursery Rhyme Story. I was actually interested during that because it was actually creative, but even then, it was really all over the place.

That's another thing I can't forgive. The fights were nonexistent. In the game, Nero is the weakest servant. You have to play smart to win the constant uphill battles. They minimized them for "muh Shaft symbolism" and "muh deep existential plot" and yet neglected to give us a plot anyone even cared about. Sure, I know a lot of the stuff that is going on cause I played the game, but even I was still lost by all the bull they whipped out of nowhere when it would have been better to just make it a straight adaption of the game without being in the slightest creative. No anime only watcher is gonna know the significance of the characters and nor will they care.

Red Ribbon arc is legit one of my favorites, you've got great taste. Really stands up there with Saiyans and Androids.

General Blue in particular I really enjoyed. The bit where Goku saves the mouse is probably the most I ever liked him.

Kaiji Spin off and Overlord. But I'm not gonna watch while airing, because I'll catch maybe 2 episodes before I forget to keep up, then it's like 3 weeks later and I remember that I never watched. But then I'm behind and I say I'll get it later and never do. So, as usual, I just wait until everything is done, then binge it all in a sitting.

OK, another question.

The anime for Attack on Titan seems GARBAGE compared to the manga. So, do people just not care that it's not close to the quality of the manga? It does have surprising moments and some cool camera angles... but it has none of teh cool almost political intrigue the manga seems to have. At least not yet.

I read the manga and all the more interesting stuff IMO **MANGA SPOILERS SORTA** Uprising, Return to Shig, and Marley has yet to come. I'm worried if they aren't going to address those arcs, heh.

- Angels of Death (would be a definitely if it's not too gory for me to handle, but there's a decent chance it might be)
- Back Street Girls (would be a definitely if anyone actually subs it, because Netflix are a bunch of stupid outdated fucks who refuse to simulcast)
- Harukana Receive
- Hi Score Girl

That's all I saw that interested me enough to want to check them out. I'm also carrying over three shows (Black Clover, Hugtto Precure, Yu-gi-oh VRAINS) from past seasons.

That's also not true - one of the reasons S2 was delayed as long as it was, was explicitly because he didn't want to have an anime only ending. He wanted it to stay faithful.
