you all must know within seconds of reading a topic about how "leftists" are socialist communist fascist fake news pushing mass shooting stalin worshippers bringing this country to its knees, or whatever the fuck other dumb silly tired unoriginal bullshit the TC parroted from something they read on the donald reddit... that the topic is designed specifically and solely to annoy you and stir up some shit.

so why the hell does every topic like that get 100+ posts??? please explain this to me, i'm serious. when i see shit like that i just laugh at the OP but then I see people taking time to respond to the verbal equivalent of drooling down the front of your shirt going bwuuuuhhhh, with legitimate arguments. as if its not totally obvious that the TC is just being a dick because they're a miserable person and they want to drag you down with them.

That's exactly part of the problem, though. If no one responds then white supremacist recruiters can argue, "See, they ignore us because they can't actually argue!". It's the same tactic I saw growing up as a Jehovah's Witness; if someone rolls their eyes and walks away, you just say they were a coward and walked away from the 'truth'.

I actually was reading an AMA on Reddit from a former neo-Nazi and he was mentioning how they will drop little hints on websites and video games to try and attract disenfranchised, lonely, and frustrated youth, then when they notice an interest they start with the whole brainwashing thing. It really made me take shit like that more seriously.

While some people just fall for it (it can happen to anyone), the ones who constantly argue with the same people year after year after year probably also have some sort of mental illness like the trolls do. Could be the same as trolls like wanting attention or maybe it's some narcissistic thing, or some sort of need to argue with people. People who lurk here and not engage in that mess are probably smarter than people think. Not trying to sound like a dick, but I think it's true with some people here.
