Preface: I live with them currently, at least for the next few months. Rent is $1200, I pitch in $400 + pay for internet entirely. I cook entirely for myself, I basically provide no extra expenses to my father. In fact, factoring in chores around the house, the internet pay, etc. I'm a net benefit to my Dad right now.

Also, she's not a true neet. She has a job: she's a maid for 4 families, each of whom she visits once a month for 5 hours.

So, this lady. She's a 45-year-old mother* of two kids, both are high school dropouts. One joined the army, dropped out, and now lives with his Dad cleaning dishes at a restaurant. The other fucking... eloped and lives on some stranger's farm as a farmhand or some shit on the other side of Canada. So, as you can tell, she's a real stellar mom.

She's also a vindictive, judgmental, lazy bitch who smokes pot all day and does nothing around the house except walk her dog.

I've tried telling my Dad she needs to get a job, a real job that's more than 5 hours a week (and of those 5 hours, judging by what she's said, she works maybe 2 of them and the other 3 just chit-chats with her clients) and he says "well she's told her clients to spread the word about her."

so according to google maids make CAD$15/hour, that means at most she's contributing $300, and that's not counting the food she eats, the pot she smokes and the utilities she uses.

She claims she gives all her money to my Dad. I don't know how true that is, but regardless, she's draining my Dad's savings. My Dad recently quit his professional job because he couldn't deal with it anymore and now he's a security guard earning basically minimum wage, working like 60 hour weeks in his late 50s.

This has been going on for 4 years now, the last year of which I've lived with them.

My Dad admitted he needs to dip in to his savings to afford everything, and I've told him we should move to somewhere cheaper. He says no, because we need somewhere big enough for the fucking dog and close to her clients. I told him to tell his girlfriend to get a real job and he was downright fucking offended.

I asked him when he plans to retire. I asked him what he plans on doing if she gets hurt and can't contribute her share. I asked him what he plans on doing if he gets hurt (he's a security guard in his 50s, there's a good fucking chance he'll get hurt). I asked him what he plans on doing if one of her clients drops her.

He can't fucking answer me, he's fucking blind.

I'm moving out soon, I have no fucking clue what they plan when I do and frankly I don't care. All I want is to get my Dad out of this toxic relationship before he realizes he has no financial future.
