Some play save the world.

I like it is because of the building, and how the map basically terraforms because of players creating structures all over it.

It's free and casuals will always bandwagon on what Twitch streamers shill

They like the idea of being the best player out of 100 even though a majority of the players are children and casuals. Knowing how to quickly build towers, learning where all the good loot is, and knowing to aim guarantees that you will be the Top 5 of every round.

You need a good mouse if you want to build forts quickly. You can't just spam the build button to survive.
