Upset? Yeah being angry during the civil rights era as a black man in America would he completely reasonable.

Considering whites and Jews to be literal demons though, that blacks are superior to other races, and considered the eradication of other races to be an inevitability that he supported is... Well that's pretty fucked up no matter what the circumstance is. He mostly spoke negatively of whites but his ideology includes subsections for Jews specifically, Asians, and every other non black race are all decendants from blacks and inherently bad as a result. Literally just swap white with black there and you've got the ideology of some Klansman. Especially when he even vocally supported violent protest and violence against whites. He was literally on some "Blacks are the superior race" level shit plus believed pseudo science like how monkeys are thousands of years old and just the result of other races trying to become black again...

Malcolm X is really all that's necessary to cite but I was taught about Marcus Garvey in shcool positively, who ironically was probably only spoken of positively because of his influence on Malcolm X. But like I said Malcolm X is really enough he's a face of the civil rights movement, taught in school, has streets and buildings named after him, satues, memorials, etc. And he was mostly just a racist nutjob until less than a year before he died when he finally started to casually question his beliefs before he was killed. It's good that he at least began questioning things, mostly just his religion, but then dude made it to near middle age before he died and spent years of that peddling crazy racist shit.

I have trouble seeing what medal he should be given for being a racist idiot most of his life, then getting shot, but at least he started questioning things in the last year of his life as he neared middle age.

No it doesn't, when you're including whites that had no involvement in the American slave trade and when the ideology didn't just stop at whites anyways, every non black race was included and their expectation of the inevitable eradication of everyone else and world retuning to only black people is fucked. He was a man filled with hate and spite, going far enough to directly undermine other civil rights leaders like MLK because they didn't spread black nationalism and violence like he did.

It's literally a Nazi tier ideology, the only difference was Hitler and the Nazi party were actually able to gain power and attempt to follow through with it and they couldn't for a variety of reasons.

This is sometimes true, but I'm starting to notice it more having to do with just a general intolerance for people not from the black community. Like, they have their own community and they don't want you interfering with it.
