I saw this movie years ago, though a while after it first came out, and thought it was fantastic. But after seeing it in the present day its such a damn good movie. Bridges and Gibbons are obviously fantastic, but Joan Cusack as the evil mother is so fuxking perfect. The jump scare she has towards the end of the film is so perfectly done.

Anyway this movie deserves so much more credit than it has at this point, and it's a damn shame it was buried during the aftermath of Columbine. And with the overall message of "The media needs someone to blame and on everything on so people feel secure after" I feel it resonates more now than ever before.
