I'm not an economist and there could be much more negative effect than I realize, either already or in the long run, but stock market is up, taxes are down, wife got a little bonus just because the company is saving more money, etc.

Not the hills I'm going to die on, and I'm for a nice long list of exceptions, but I'm pro-life, and I think there can be reasonable gun reform, but I'm in general pro-gun. His administration takes the stuff too far but I suppose I'm more on their side than the opposite? I know especially on guns plenty of democrats are pretty reasonable, its just a vocal group that makes the part seem super anti-gun.

I dunno much about Gorsuch and we'll see his next supreme court pick later today, I'm assuming his picks will be more aligned with my views than most people Obama or Clinton would put forward (but Obama's dude last time actually seemed pretty reasonable, I prefer moderates on the court that aren't rubber stamps).

I dunno, I'm a Mitt Romney guy, I didn't vote for Trump. The (R) by his name doesn't really mean anything to me.

Trump once said that, with the exception of Lincoln, he's the most presidential president of all time. I disagree. I think he's more presidential than Lincoln as well.

Those people include most of the economic advisors, most of Congress and our allies.

It's not about understanding. The tariffs are a moronic idea.

1. He needs to stop posting his thoughts directly to twitter without checking with his own cabinet on whether they're in agreement
2. DeVos is a shit pick for Sec of Education
3. Pence is a horrible human being and a bad VP pick
4. I don't think his policy on repealing LGBT support in the military is a good one (although I believe they should be restricted to non-combat roles)
5. His tariffs against most of EU are misguided, although I support them for China
6. He should have stayed in the paris climate agreement, since it's basically no hard commitment for positive PR
7. I disagree with his opinion on climate change in general
8. His obsession with crowd size is laughable
9. He shouldn't have given Alex Jones the time of day, let alone appeared on his show
10. Ajit Pai was a terrible pick for FCC
11. Trump's attempt to deflect on gun violence using violent video games was bad and he should feel bad
12. In general, I support stronger gun control and hoped he would be above NRA threats as "the man with no ties to lobbyists"

I voted for him but I dont call myself a Republican.

I dislike the fact that he is continuing our wars in the ME. I was hoping he would do a better job of putting America first rather than Israel and the military industrial complex.

The scope and scale of their IP theft over the last few decades has had and will continue to have significant material impact on the US. Both in terms of commercial and defense. I think it's one of the few instances where we as a nation need to actually take an economic hit for long-term security.

Every economist on the planet disagree with his tariffs including his own economic advisor who resigned in protest.

Red hats like to say "no one understands, he's got a great plan to win a trade war" or "it's good for American businesses" both of which are false.

Team cohesion, primarily. As long as you can maintain that, it's fine, but to be totally honest I'll upset a thousand lesbians who want to fight if it means our soldiers have one fewer casualty when they actually go into combat.

With regard to trans people specifically, supply lines are a bitch. Assuming a trans person can pass the physical requirements, there's still the issue of transporting meds if they're post-op, and that's less water, batteries, and ammo brought in exchange.

I assume youd be against anyone who needs medication every day being on the front line.

Yes, for the same reasons. The people on the front lines need to be in absolute peak performance to reduce loss of life. Being on daily meds is like the opposite of that.

Front line combatants need to perform at peak efficiency. They don't need any distractions that may compromise their functionality and cause unnecessary loss of life.
