More of this will reduce the real costs of healthcare. Can't wait.

Anything close to full automation won't happen anytime soon not because it can't happen but because it will take away jobs from doctors, lawyers, etc.

It's already happening in law.

It's just a matter of time. Certainly will happen in our life time. It's fucking exciting! It'll certainly suck for some professionals who don't invest time into training themselves on emerging trends in their industries and aligning themselves with the automation, but it's a boon for everyone else.

Average people will have access to world-class legal advice and knowledge for a fraction of the cost of a lawyer. Same with doctors soon.

Good job showing an article about the great NHS system. Glad they using this to TRAIN surgeons. We should really move toward a system like theirs. Glad were on the same page.

I don't care where and how the automation happens first. I just care that it happens. This is a great precedent because once the technology is mass produced it's just a matter of time before it disrupts the entire industry.

it boggles my mind how some people(not TC IIRC) are all-in on automation in stuff like this but would never trust a self-driving car

It's because they're more familiar with the complexities of driving and the high speeds. So it's natural to be afraid of it since you're more familiar with it. Especially since the news constantly publishes things about deadly crashes, especially around Tesla autopilot, since it generates ad revenue.

In reality autonomous vehicles will be way safer. Even if it's just augmented driving with the humans still retaining control, smart cars will reduce traffic and car crashes by a significant amount. It's only a good thing.

Or the top 0.1% will just buy up all the technology and hoard all the profit generated by it

This is legitimately one of the stupidest leftist points I see otherwise intelligent people peddling.

If this was actually a thing, every innovation in the last 150 years would've not been made accessible to regular people. You literally have to shut your eyes and absolutely refuse to see how reality works in order to genuinely believe that the big bad rich boogeyman is going to prevent regular people from having access to these things.
