The middle ones are relatively interchangeable in terms of quality though IMO.

These are my thoughts: the writing was lazy as shit. The dialogue was awful, there was a lot of stupid shit going on that didn't have anything to do with the overall plot, and I hated practically every single character except for Owen (and Ian Malcolm who wasn't really a character anyways). However, these same issues also plague JW, JP3, and (to a much lesser degree, imo) Lost World. The reason I enjoyed this one more than JW and JP3 was the amazing action sequences. It had by far the best direction since Lost World and seeing the dinosaurs fuck shit up in an urban setting was awesome. I also think it's awesome that dinosaurs are now roaming free across America. So yeah, pretty lame movie overall but all the sequels have been pretty lame. Except Lost World. I like that one a lot despite the hate it gets, it's probably the nostalgia.

guess i'll like this one then since i thoroughly enjoyed jurassic world.
