NEW YORK TIMES - Stormy Daniels Arrested at Ohio Strip Club for Touching Undercover Officers

She was charged with three counts of illegal sexually oriented activity, a misdemeanor, the arrest report says. She was released from the Jackson Pike jail in Columbus on Thursday after posting $6,054 cash bail.

The charges stem from an allegation that while performing, she engaged in touching with customers who turned out to be undercover vice officers, Ms. Cliffords lawyer, Michael J. Avenatti, said in a telephone interview. Mr. Avenatti said that Ms. Clifford would plead not guilty.

[...]

Police officers at the club said in an affidavit that while dancing topless, Ms. Clifford pressed patrons faces into her chest and fondled the breasts of some women in the audience. She performed similar acts on three officers, and grabbed one by the buttocks, the affidavit said.

So there are undercover vice officers that came to the club for the purpose of trying to get her to touch them so that they could then arrest her, which is ludicrous, Mr. Avenatti said.

My understanding is that a number of undercover officers were female, which was not unusual to my client because a huge number of women are turning out to see her shows, he said. And a couple of officers asked her to allow them to place their face in between her breasts.

[...]

This was a setup & politically motivated, Mr. Avenatti said on Twitter. It reeks of desperation. We will fight all bogus charges.

In Ohio, it is illegal for an employee who is nude or seminude at a sexually oriented business to be touched by a patron or to touch a patron, with the exception of an immediate family member. Depending on what body part is touched, the charge can be a first- or fourth-degree misdemeanor.

Sounds like vice cops successfully baited Stormy into some inappropriate touching while working.

I wonder how many GOP victories it will take before these people learn.

Trump is visiting the UK and has, in less than a day:

-Said Theresa May is doing a bad job.
-Said he told her how to do brexit properly.
-Said Boris Johnson should replace her.
-Implied the EU should break up.
-Implied the UK should break up.
-Blamed Sadiq Khan for terror attacks, despite the fact that Trump funded the deadliest terror group in the UK's history.
-Justified this by saying Khan has allowed too much immigration, which he has no control over.
-Complained that for some mysterious reason, the people don't make him feel welcome.

I can't believe he was invited. What did May think would happen?

Theresa May is incompetent and keeps trying for whatever reason to please everyone at once. I mean, it's not just her - not sure what the Tory party was thinking, putting a remainer in charge of Brexit. It would be as if the US put Hillary Clinton in charge of ending NAFTA.

It's obviously in the best interest of the US for the EU to break up - it's not in our competitive interest to have a competitor unified trading bloc that is just as big economically as the US.

I hate this "why is a remainer in charge of brexit?" line. The idea is to get something that works for the country, not for half of it. Whether the PM was leave or remain is not really important. And a leaver would bump into the exact same problems May has. Besides, she made leave supporters brexit secretary and foreign secretary and they both failed. Almost as if the problem is brexit itself.

I'm not saying he is wrong, but the issue with Red Sox insincere pearl clutching is that people like him will always find something to be triggered or outraged by. Antifa, new black panther party, immigrants, people that don't look like them, etc etc etc. It doesn't matter. It is very easy for a small insignificant group like antifa to be built up into some big boogy man because being afraid is what they want.

We could get rid of antifa tomorrow and some other idiotic group of like ten people could pop up wanting to ban Christmas and Red Sox would use that as justification to vote for the stack of children in a trench coat running for president.

ALSO my post doesnt even preclude Red Sox from having good reasons to vote Republican. Although I dont think he even voted for Trump IIRC.

My criticism is with how disingenuous this reasoning is for why Trump won. It is extremely common for never Trumpers and you hear Ben Shapiro in particular espouse it many times. Trump isnt Republicans fault! No sir, it had nothing to do with the toxicity of talk radio, years of fear mongering, embracing the tea party and killing off many moderates, hysteria amongst voters, latent racism or sexism within a small but sizable contingent of their voters etc etc etc.

No, it was because of Democrats! It was because of these forty moronic teenagers and their guy fawkes mask. It was this one woman in some no name school at Portland that said white people are dumb. It was this random bakery in San Francisco that sells cakes with penises on them.

It is a way of passing off their worst mistake onto the people who didnt even vote for him. Obviously republicans have good reasons for voting republicans. Democrats hurt my feelings and I need some warm milk is not one of them, and it deserves to be called out.

It's not an incorrect statement, but the implication to me is that it's suggesting that all or a large fraction of people who felt offended by Liberals voted Trump in large part due to this reason.

I admit this is somewhat of a touchy subject for me due to various reasons, so if other people think it's fine and that I'm just trying too hard to read between the lines then I'll back down. Even in that instance though I will point out I'm not the only one out there for whom this is touchy subject and who might leap to that conclusion.

It's not an incorrect statement, but the implication to me is that it's suggesting that all or a large fraction of people who felt offended by Liberals voted Trump in large part due to this reason.

that's not what i was saying. i was talking about the people who voted for trump because liberals were calling them nazis for no good reason and said THEY were being dumb. i wasn't attacking the people who got offended because liberals were calling them nazis and voted for trump for unrelated reasons.

i also didn't say a "large fraction" of the offended people voted for trump because they were offended but... this could be the case. i haven't seen any statistics on this. have you?
