Zeeak4444 07/13/18 11:55:06 AM #1:	Just finished it last night after finally getting around to checking it out. That was way better than I expected going into it. Episode 4s ending (the raid) and the events leading up to it were phenomenal and the finale was pretty much the perfect note to leave off on. I'll check it out since S3 is coming up but I've heard to just treat it as a standalone show all together cause it doesn't hold up to S1 at all. I read a review that summed up my thoughts about it perfectly, "This first season of True Detective doesnt declare the glass half-full, but it doesnt declare the glass half-empty, either. To me, the big, pleasant surprise of this finale is that it says the existence of the glass and its ability to hold any amount of water are wonders enough." And I think that sums up my feelings about it and specifically the hospital talk as a whole.
