I was able to download Overwatch and Diablo III in their entirety in roughly half an hour. I previously came from 100Mbps internet.

For me, anything over 100 would be fantastic. I'm just getting a great deal on gig because of competition. Same price as 50 mb for two years. And by then I'll probably have sold this house.

Lucky. I get decent download but these fuckers throttle YouTube and Twitch so it constantly pauses to buffer. :(

It seriously is a game changer.

Before said they were coming to Austin, TX, the best internet speed you could get as a residential user was like 50 Mbps down.

The day after Google Fiber said they were coming to Austin, TX, AT&T started advertising their own gigabit internet. Grande started advertising their own gigabit internet. Spectrum (formerly Time Warner Cable) bumped people's speeds up for free in an attempt to compete.

that's pretty good especially with the upload since it's a trend to skimp on upload in like 95% of all connections.

can't imagine what would even take full advantage of the speed since i barely max out my 100/100 connection across any single application.
