Republican, Democrat, it should not matter and it should not be acceptable. Even if you 100% believed nothing untoward happened during the campaign/election, is the president of the US meeting with the president of Russia not an official act of state, occurring in those roles? There should be verifiable official records and there should be press access.
It seems incredibly unlikely that their meeting would be purely personal, and they were not going to discuss anything relating to policy, governance, etc, and even if that were the case, the conflict of interests (real or apparent) seems unprecedented given ongoing investigations and the findings of others conducted thus far. The deference to consolidation of power into one person, not just the office he holds, and the abandoning of oversight, of checks and balances, seems like it should be antithetical to conservative ideology, and yet here we are. --- sig poll: buzz cola or duff beer 1 - 1 thus far (after like 2 years) ...
